Mount accordingly if you want to preserve SSD erase cycles. bzvol directory in the root of every hard drive it's configured to back up in which it'll store a full copy of files >100M split into 10M parts. The -init flag installs a tiny process that can actually do a few init things like wait()ing children in place of the backblaze client as PID 1. This will cause it to fill up your system's PID limit within a few hours which prevents new processes from being created system-wide, would not recommend. Warning: The backblaze client is not an init system (who knew) and doesn't clean up its zombie children. I have my WINE prefix set up in a way that dosdrives/d: is a symlink to drive_d and told backblaze to back up "D:\" and ignore everything on "C:\". More often than not I've needed a file on mobile while on the road yet been unable to access it for download because it's size is reportedly too large.-v '/dir/you/want/to/back/up/:/wine/drive_d/' \ Is there a necessary or unavoidable technological limitation causing this? I don't believe there should be a bandwith cap on downloadable files. Clearly the uploads continue but the app just isn't gathering/reporting it well at all.Ģ.
I'll finally see a new total and it'll be a couple dozen more gigabytes. After a week or so of refreshing the app or killing the app using the multitasking/app-switcher/app-killer function then re-starting the app. Unfortunately, I find the upload total rarely updates. lines: Backblaze Personal Backup, Backblaze Business Backup, and Backblaze B2 Cloud. I have a Mac Mini with a large external drive that's still trying to finish the initial upload after a couple months. The app is incredibly reluctant to grab updated summary information from the Backblaze servers. I really like the Backblaze service, but the app is terribly limited in at least two ways that impact it's usability for me:ġ.
