Note that the default "/Category:All" excludes the 'Accessories' category, so to make sure to include them you would need to type i.e. If you run HPIA from command line, see HP Image Assistant User Guide chapter 6 "Running from a command line". Since then, a new 'Accessories' category has been added. I believe at the time I originally opened this thread, HPIA did not support (correctly) updating docking stations. Thanks for any insights you can provide! Top So with every new firmware release, I would have to deploy an updated softpaq to my laptops with my preferred delivery mechanism (i.e.running HPFirmwareInstaller.exe extracted from SP105673 would only offer firmware 1.0.9.0, and not search and grab the latest 1.0.13.0 release)? But do I understand that the '-stage' parameter would exclusively try to stage the firmware which was delived with it (i.e.If I understand correctly the whitepaper, I could run 'HPFirmwareInstaller.exe -s -stage' to silently drop a newer firmware to the docking station, and wait for the host to be disconnected before the update is applied. I'm pretty mush interested in staging new firmwares to the docking station, and initiating the installation upon an host computer disconnect. Second question is: Can HP Firmware Installer check online for a latest release before offering a firmware flash? I did not find any such parameter in the whitepaper, hence I believe HPFI is tied to a specific firmware version as included in its softpaq?

Again, it did not try to download SP112366.

I've been instructed to look at the HP Firmware Installer for Docks utility. I received an HP USB-C Dock G5 docking station unit, in order to review how we can manage its firmware update.
